It's a bird, it's a plane - it's members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service Tactical Unit returning for the annual Superheroes for Little Heroes fundraiser in support of the NEO Kids Foundation.

On Oct. 20 at 11 a.m., officers will be rappelling down the south and centre tower of Health Sciences North dressed as superheroes to surprise patients in the pediatric unit and newborn intensive care unit, before greeting the little heroes waiting below.

The community is invited to watch the spectacle outside the south tower entrance, after which they can enjoy family-friendly activities such as superhero cape decorating, face painting, and pumpkin decorating. Heroes big and small are encouraged to wear their favourite superhero or Halloween costume to join in the fun.

Help save the day by purchasing a $10 foot of rope through this link. All proceeds will directly support the NEO Kids Foundation.

Please be advised that space is limited for this event. Paid parking is available to spectators at Health Sciences North.

More information on parking can be found here

Those planning to attend should be advised that due to the nature of the event and unpredictable schedule of the Greater Sudbury Police Tactical Unit, the event may be cancelled on short notice.
