Swimming advisory lifted for Manitoulin Island beach

Public Health Sudbury and Districts have removed the swimming advisory for the last of two Manitoulin Island beaches found to exceed the acceptable bacteriological water quality standards. 

Based on recent water samples, Kagawong Village Beach has been declared suitable for recreational use.

The swimming advisory was lifted for Providence Bay Beach Thursday

Public Health takes routine water samples during the summer from 34 local beaches. Find information about beach water quality here
