If your child has outgrown their bicycle and needs a larger one, or you have a gently used bike that no longer fits your child and you'd like to rehome, check out the Kids Bike Exchange June 15.

The event is being run by Rainbow Routes Association, the City of Greater Sudbury, Public Health Sudbury and Districts and Bike Sudbury.

“Kids of all ages and their guardians are welcomed as we have over 100 bikes that need new homes and a happy well used life!” said a press release.

Gently used bicycles are provided on a first come first serve basis and sizes and quantities may vary. Children must be present so they can be properly fitted and they must be accompanied by an adult.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. June 15 (or until the bikes run out) at the old Canoe Club at Bell Park (Elizabeth Street).

The City of Greater Sudbury is also sponsoring a free community barbecue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the city's Quench Buggy will be on site, providing free drinking water, so be sure to bring your own reuseable water bottle.
