The Learning Disabilities Association of Sudbury is hosting a seminar Feb. 15 about the little-known disability tax credit.

The seminar will take place at 7 pm at Lockerby Composite School, and will feature Ryan Minor, a tax expert who works for the firm BDO Dunwoody.

Many individuals with learning disabilities and other disabilities qualify for this credit. One parent said the credit helps to pay for an after school tutor.
People can claim the credit going as far back as ten years.

On the same evening, Ron Lessard of the Learning Disabilities Association of Sudbury will give a presentation on advocating for children with learning disabilities in the school system.

Keys to working with teachers, the school board and community support agencies will be shared. For more information, phone 522-0100.
