Work on the Elgin Street underpass was completed on March 22 and it didn't take long for vandals to make their mark.
Concrete work on both the ramp and stairs at the underpass had been ongoing for most of the winter and city staff announced on Thursday that work had wrapped up and the underpass was fully open.
On March 23, Northern Ontario Business reporter Lindsay Kelly snapped photos of some fresh graffiti on the newly painted concrete on the underpass.
Contractors still have to complete some lighting upgrades at the underpass and that work is expected to begin in mid-April. The entire project should be completed by April 30.
