With community members in Wanup looking to create a new recreational opportunity in their area, the city is reaching out to the public to see what their priorities are.
In a media release issued by the City of Greater Sudbury, residents are asked to submit their input on what new activities or upgraded recreation amenities they believe would best serve the future needs of the Wanup community.
Residents can share their ideas on overtoyou.greatersudbury.ca until Jan. 31, or call the city’s customer service line at 311 to submit their feedback.
Whatever information is collected will be shared with the community to help residents better understand their needs.
In their release, the city noted that community-based projects such as this can apply for Healthy Community Initiative funding, which allocates $36,750 annually to each of the city’s 12 wards, including $24,500 toward capital projects and up to $12,250 toward community grants.
