Third annual Summer Parade shows off new boathouse

The third annual Summer Water Parade looks to celebrate the old and the new. The event will take place Aug. 14 at the boathouse at 506 Elizabeth St. at 5 p.m.

The parade will feature Dragon boats, canoes, kayaks and a variety of watercraft and seeks to celebrate and generate awareness for the new water centre.

The current boathouse is on its way out to make room for a brand new centre. Among the various events held throughout the day, Northern Water Sports will give a lakeside preview of the new location.

A barbecue will be held after the parade.
