Thorneloe presenting Anglican national indigenous bishop with honourary doctorate

Thorneloe University will honour its 2018 graduates and scholarship winners as well as present awards to a few special guests Oct. 4 during its fall convocation ceremony.

The event takes place at the Ernie Checkeris Theatre at Thorneloe University starting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

During the ceremony, Thorneloe will award an Honorary Doctorate in Sacred Theology to the Rt. Rev. Mark MacDonald, National Indigenous Bishop of the Anglican Church of Canada. 

Sudbury residents Susan Moores and Oryst Sawchuk will, respectively, be made a Fellow of Thorneloe University and be presented with the Thorneloe Mitre award.
