Former Newfoundland premier Brian Tobin is the keynote speaker at a ?Communities of Change? information and communications technology lecture hosted by e-sudbury.com on Friday, May 10.
The event, which commences at 11:45 am, will be held at the Ramada Inn.
Registration for the luncheon is $30 per person.
Tobin?s lecture is presented by e.sudbury.com, an initiative of the Greater Sudbury Community Development Corporation, in partnership with FedNor, the City of Greater Sudbury, Greater Sudbury Telcommunications Inc. and Persona Communications.
Tobin served as premier of Newfoundland and Labrador from 1996 to 2000, winning successive majority elections in 1996 and 1999. He?s a former minister of Industry Canada.
His presentation will review Canada?s progress and current issues related to the political applications of information and communications technology.
