International Women's Day was originally called International Working Women's Day, and is celebrated on March 8 every year. In a number of countries around the world, including China, Cuba, Russia, Afghanistan, and Zambia, the day is recognized as an official holiday.
Each year, International Women's Day follows a theme, and this year's theme is #BeBoldForChange.
The International Women's Day website is asking everyone to "call on the masses or call on yourself to help forge a better working world - a more gender inclusive world."
