Collège Boréal hosted a forum on trades and apprenticeship that brought together seven of the nine French-language school boards in its recruitment area Wednesday and Thursday.
The forum organizer, Daniel Giroux, acting dean of technology and trades, said, ?We need to address the general negative perception of working in the trades area. It is important that we have a vision and a strategic action plan that was developed, recommended and approved by the nine school boards and Collège Boréal in order to increase the enrolment in the French-language trades programs.?
