Major traffic delays can be expected in the Paris Street and Walford Road area of the city today and tomorrow.
The Paris Street and Walford intersection in Sudbury will be restricted to certain turning movements on today, Monday, Sept. 22 and tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 23, weather dependent.
Traffic will be restored to normal operations by Wednesday. The city's Contractor will be connecting the newly installed watermain to the existing watermain on Paris, immediately south of Walford Road.
Northbound and southbound traffic on Paris Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Motorists accessing Walford Road are asked to follow posted detours.
Eastbound and westbound traffic on Walford Road will also be detoured as through movement will be closed.
The contractor will restrict this intersection again for approximately one week early in October 2003.
