Traffic update: CP Rail track repairs to close numerous roads

Railway crossings will be under repair starting Monday

CP Rail will be closing Harry Crescent for two hour on Monday, Oct. 3 to complete track maintenance at the railway crossing. 

No detours will be available to any traffic during the closure. Emergency vehicles will be allowed to cross in an emergency only. 
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the road closure. Work at the crossing will take place anywhere from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CP Rail will also be intermittently closing Second Avenue in Sudbury on Oct. 3, 5 and 6 to complete track maintenance at the railway crossing. 

Traffic will be detoured using Fourth Avenue. (Bancroft to Fourth to Greenwood to Second Avenue). Pedestrian access will be maintained during the road closure. Work at the crossing will take place anywhere from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CP Rail will be closing Fourth Avenue in Sudbury for a two-hour period on Tuesday, Oct. 4, to complete track maintenance at the railway crossing. 

Traffic will be detoured using Second Avenue. (Bancroft to Second to Greenwood to Fourth Avenue). Pedestrian access will be maintained during the road closure. Work at the crossing will take place anywhere from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Construction operations on MR 80 (Notre Dame Avenue) north of Turner Avenue will require the closure of the outside northbound lane from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, for the next eight weeks. 

Lane closure and advance warning signs will be posted. Traffic will also be stopped for approximately 5-10 minutes in both northbound and southbound lanes during blasting operations between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Motorists are asked to slow down through the construction zone.

Garson Pipe will be doing water main installation on Gutcher Ave between Irving St. and Mary St. from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m on Monday, Oct. 3 until late November. 

Gutcher will remain open to local traffic only.
