Tree of Dreams Toy Drive returns to help families in need

Give the gift of joy with a toy

Our Children, Our Future and Toys "R" Us are teaming up to ensure every child has a Christmas full of fond memories.

Running from Nov. 13 to Dec. 19, the Tree of Dreams Toy Drive at the Toys "R" Us in Sudbury will be gathering toys for children in need.

This partnership, which grew out of a 2013 pilot program, collected more than 1000 toys for local children who would otherwise not receive a gift during the holiday. Shoppers are invited to purchase a new toy that will be donated to a child on Dec. 25.

To participate, visit the Sudbury Toys "R" Us between Nov. 13 and Dec. 19; choose an ornament from the Tree of Dreams with a child's name on it; purchase a gift for the child. A Toys "R" Us associate will place the ornament and gift in a bag.

“This Toy Drive was an overwhelming success during our pilot year,” said Susan Nicholson, executive director at Our Children, Our Future.

“I'm proud to work with our community to help families living in poverty give children a memorable Christmas.”
