Sudbury Performance Group is back with its sixth annual Northern Arts Festival later this month.

The winter festival of the arts runs Feb. 17-23 this year, featuring free performances by more than 100 musicians at 16 venues throughout the Nickel City.

You can visit the Sudbury Performance Group website for the full calendar of events.

Headlining the Northern Arts Festival this year are two tributes: the Ultimate Tribute to Bryan Adams (Friday), and the AC/DC Show Canada (Saturday). Both acts will hit the stage at the Coulson Entertainment Centre.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have these talented artists as our ticketed feature acts during the Northern Arts Festival,” said Sudbury Performance Group (SPG) President, Mark Mannisto. “These Canadian acts are going to deliver two unforgettable nights of live music celebrating rock legends!”

Bryan Adams Reckless plays Feb. 21. This tribute to a Canadian rock icon will play all the big hits like “Summer of ’69,” “Heaven,” and “Run to You.” Joining the stage on Friday night are Sudbury’s award-winning country stars Chad Rivette and Natalie Crispo. As rising talents in the Canadian and international music scenes, their performances will add a unique country-rock flavor to an already incredible night of entertainment.

On Feb. 22, AC/DC Canada takes over the stage, recreating the look and sound of the legendary Australian rockers. Sudbury’s hard rock act Restored will open the night, setting the stage for a headbanging evening filled with classic rock hits.
