The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made two arrests June 18 in the former town of Haileybury in relation to the remains of Perry Reaume, 26, of Martin River, an OPP release said.
His skull was found in the village of Thornloe in June 2008. Additional human remains identified as that of the victim's have also been recovered from a separate location, police added.
Charged with criminal negligence causing death and indignity to a human body and various firearm offenses was Stephen Hill, 56, of Haileybury. Dianne Morris, 48, also of Haileybury was charged with indignity to a human body. Hill has been held in custody and will appear in Haileybury Court June 21. Morris has been released on a recognizance
The investigation is continuing by officers from the Northeast Region Unsolved Homicide Investigative Unit, Identification Unit and Temiskaming Detachment under the direction of OPP Inspector Ken Leppert, Criminal Investigation Branch.
