Updated: Lorne Street reopened following two-car collision

One taken to hospital with serious injuries

Lorne Street has been reopened following a two-vehicle collision Saturday, that resulted in one individual being taken to Health Sciences North with serious injuries.

Greater Sudbury Police Services Traffic Management Unit's investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Original Story

Lorne Street has been temporarily closed to traffic in either direction, from Applegrove Street to Oak Street, in response to a two-vehicle collision.

Greater Sudbury Police Service, Greater Sudbury Fire Services and Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services responded to the scene, but police are the only service personnel that remain.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m Saturday, said residents of the area.
