A teach-in entitled Stop the War Against Iraq will be held in Laurentian UniversityÂ?s Lower Fraser Auditorium today at 1:30 pm.
This teach-in against war and racism will focus on the history of Iraq and the Gulf War; Â?weapons of mass destructionÂ? and the alleged links between Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden; oil and the war; human rights and the war; the media and the war; racism and war; and how anti-war movements have helped to end war.
The teach-in will include brief presentations by a number of professors and students.
It will be followed by a question and discussion period. It is organized by Anti-Military Action, an anti-racist student group at Laurentian, along with the department of sociology, the LU New Democratic Party Association, and the Sudbury Anti-War Mobilization.
