The St. Joseph’s Foundation of Sudbury is pleased to announce the very first winner of their 50-50 draw, Vicki Lejambe, who recently won $7,035.
An employee of the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre (SJCCC), Lejambe told the Foundation that she is thrilled to win the draw and plans to set the money aside for her child’s post-secondary education.
St. Joseph’s Foundation launched its 50/50 Campaign for Compassionate Care on June 25 to raise funds for the SJCCC, a 20-year-old organization that seeks to alleviate the pressures facing hospitals by assisting with Alternative Level of Care (ALC) patients, offering them a customized discharge plan that will help those patients successfully reintegrate into the community.
Dedicated to rehabilitative and restorative care for Sudburians, the SJCCC’s goal is to transition patients back to independent living, whether that be home, a retirement residence or an assisted living environment.
The aim of the 50/50 Campaign is to cover expenses like new equipment, upgrades and maintenance for the SJCCC.
Tickets for future draws are $10 for 10, $20 for 40, or $50 for 150 and can be purchased through a secure portal found here. There will be many early bird prizes and electronic monthly 50/50 draws, with a guaranteed prize each draw of $2,000.
