In more than a dozen Ontario communities today, demonstrators marched, chanted and waved placards to push for the province's minimum wage to be increased to $15.
Among the demonstrators was Nickel Belt MPP France Gélinas who said that it is wrong that in Ontario, more than 700,000 people who are working full-time jobs live below the poverty line.
She said with a stroke of a pen, Ontario could make live better for these people by raising the minimum wage to $15 from the current level of $11.25.
