Video: Happy birthday, dear Queen! Students sing to monarch

Queen Elizabeth II is 90 years old
Queen Elizabeth II turns 90 years old today.

In 2015, Elizabeth II surpassed the reign of her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, to become the longest-reigning British monarch and the longest-reigning queen regnant in world history.

She's reigned since Feb. 6, 1952, upon her father George VI's death. Her coronation was June 2, 1953.

And given her genetics, Elizabeth II could reign for several more years. Her mother, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, lived to the ripe old age of 101, passing away in 2002.

Also Queen of Canada, Elizabeth II visited Sudbury in 1984, and opened Science North.

The Queen lent her name to Queen Elizabeth II Public School in Sudbury. In honour of her birthday, a group of students at the school sang Happy Birthday to the Queen, and we caught it on video.
