Massive rural expo is expected to attract 80,000 visitors to Verner

For the second time in 102 years, the International Plowing Match & Rural Expo (IPM) is being hosted in Northern Ontario.

Watch as Sudbury.com new media reporters Heather Green-Oliver and Keira Ferguson visited the event in Verner this week.

The 2019 IPM is expected to attract about 80,000 people to the small farming town, which has a population of about 960 people.

The event runs Sept. 17-21 and offers something for everyone.

Including the RAM Rodeo, food vendors, artisans, live entertainment, agricultural and educational displays, lumberjack displays and of course plowing competitions.
