Video: Take a tour of the progress being made at Place des Arts

Construction of the multipurpose cultural facility may wrap-up as early as the summer of 2021

When completed, Place des Arts will be a unifying cultural centre for Franco-Ontarians and the entire Greater Sudbury community.

The 40,000-square-foot cultural centre will not only be the headquarters of the seven founding Francophone organizations, but it will also house a grand theatre, an art gallery, a daycare, gift shop, bookstore, bistro and multi-purpose studio space.

Watch as executive director Léo Therrien gave Sudbury.com communities reporter Jenny Lamothe a tour of the progress thus far.

Place des Arts is located at the corner of Elgin and Larch Streets in downtown Sudbury.

In the video, Therrien walks Communities reporter Jenny Lamothe around the building to talk about the amenities, the progress on construction and the importance of Place des Arts to the Franco-Ontarian community in Sudbury.
