Video: Talking to Sudburians — Would you vacation with Trudeau? How about Erin O’Toole?

With federal election hype so strong you can practically smell it, reporter Eden Suh found out what people really think of the party leaders

Stop and smell the elections, because they are most likely right around the corner.

Rumours have been circulating for a while now that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is planning on pulling the trigger on a fall federal election.

With the possibility that Canadians could be heading to the polls very soon and election signs popping up like mushrooms at intersections near you, I thought I would head out to Bell Park to ask people’s opinion about the federal party leaders.

The questions I asked are not particularly serious — in fact, some are downright silly. But I wanted to get people in the spirit of a possible election season and have some fun doing it.

If there is an upcoming federal election, there will be two returning leaders — Jagmeet Singh of the NDP, and our current Prime Minister, the Liberals’ Justin Trudeau. Annamie Paul is the newly elected Green Party representative, and then there’s ex-military Erin O’Toole for the Conservatives, who’s also fairly new in his role. I asked Sudburians' opinions of all four of these leaders.

If you like this video, hang tight, because there will be more serious election coverage coming soon on Sudbury.com.

Let me know in the comments your personal answers for some of the questions I have asked in the video! I would love to know your thoughts.
