Video: Wes Lachapelle won himself a new truck

Cancer Support Draw raised nearly $75K for the Terry Ames Care Fund

Wes Lachapelle of Chelmsford is now the new owner of a brand-new truck from Crosstown Chevrolet Buick Cadillac GMC.

Lachapelle was one of six lucky winners to have their ballot pulled from the ticket drum during the 2017 Cancer Support Draw on July 20.

As the grand prize winner, Lachapelle has the choice of taking home a 2017 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition or a Silverado 1500 Black Out Edition.

The Terry Ames Care Fund at the Northern Cancer Foundation was set up to provide some financial support to families so they could focus on beating cancer instead of covering the bills.

Since 2012, the charity has helped more than 100 local families and raised more than $130,000 through golf tournaments and the Cancer Support Draw, which is now underway.

Congratulations to this year's Local Cancer Support Draw winners:

  • Foursome at Timberwolf Golf Club including golf, cart and dinner: Donna Quenville
  • Global Obus Premium Leather Chair from Querney's Office Plus: Norm Labranche
  • 500 Watt Falcon Electric Skateboard from ElectraSkate: Carter Fortier
