Beginning next month, shoppers will no longer be able to price match at Walmart.

Walmart Canada announced it is discontinuing the Ad Match program in all stores and on Walmart.ca on Oct. 15, 2020.

"We continue our commitment to keep our prices low both in store and online," the company said in a statement posted on its website.

"For more than 26 years, we have been building trust with our customers. Today, 2.4 million customers choose to shop at Walmart daily — in store and online — and we are the number one place to save money on groceries. Customers know they can count on Walmart for clear and upfront pricing, items on Rollback, and thousands of price checks each week to keep prices low.

"Over time, we have seen minimal usage of our Ad Match program, while at the same time the program has been causing delays at the checkout. As a result, we are discontinuing our Ad Match program effective October 15th, 2020."
