The Ward 8 Community Action Network will be hosting a spring celebration, Monday, April 25 at 7 p.m. at the Twin Forks Playground building.

This event will offer Ward 8 residents a chance to meet and mingle with their neighbours and  find out about some exciting projects and events in their neighbourhoods.

A tour of the newly renovated Twin Forks Playground community centre will be offered and  refreshments will be provided.

Chat with Ward 8 councillor Al Sizer, and most importantly, share what’s happening in your neighbourhood.

What do you love?  What needs to be addressed?  What improvements would you like to see?  Community gardens?  Park or trail improvements?  Safer streets?

The Community Action Network wants to hear from residents sothey can work to make the  neighbourhood even better.

This kicks off a series of community feedback sessions held by the Ward 8 CAN.

“We’re embarking on a series of community events that will be held throughout the ward to hear what residents like and don’t like about their neighbourhoods” said Rachelle Niemela, Ward 8 CAN chair.

“We think it’s important that residents have a say in what projects our CAN undertakes in our ward, what issues need to be addressed, and how we can work with the City of Greater Sudbury to make our ward the best it can be.”

Al Sizer agreed with Niemela's sentiments.

“As Ward Councillor, I want to hear the concerns and suggestions of residents and I hope to see many people participate in this series of community engagement sessions,” said Sizer.
