We sent our videographer out to see what Phase 2 looks like in Greater Sudbury

After nearly three months, many businesses were able to open their doors

The Ontario government is easing restrictions for regions that are seeing a decline in confirmed COVID-19 cases.

This includes cities like Greater Sudbury, which is now in Phase 2 of the reopening stage.

As of midnight on June 12, many businesses were able to open their doors for the first time in nearly three months.

We wanted to know what Stage 2 looked like in local parks, patios and malls. Watch the video above to see which local shops and services were able to open their doors today.

Now, while splash pads, pools and private campgrounds are authorized to open, please note they have not opened yet in Greater Sudbury and won't open for several weeks.

Although, there hasn’t been a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the Greater Sudbury area since May 14, that can change quickly.

As our economy reopens, Public Health Sudbury & Districts is reminding everyone to be COVID-safe.

  • Respect physical distancing regulations.
  • Wear a mask in areas where physical distancing may be a challenge and wear it properly.
  • Wash your hands frequently and
  • Stay home if you feel sick.
