The search for missing 16-year-old Enoch Kim came to a close on Christmas Eve, as the boy was found safe in a gazebo on Ester Street, not more than 5 km from the area where the search originated.

Kim had been missing since late Tuesday evening (Dec. 20), and the search for the boy garnered a good deal of attention on social media.

"I think it's partly due to the time of year and because it's a child," said GSPS Staff Sgt. Guy Renaud. "Everyone feels it and it definitely hits home"

Kim was found late Christmas Eve when a call came in from a resident that the teen was in a gazebo.

"We really want to thank the public for all of their help and cooperation," said Renaud. "We have to police as a community and it works a lot better when we all work together. It's great that this had a happy ending and he was found safe."
