The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry has confirmed one new wildland fire in the region as of late Saturday afternoon.
The lone active fire in the northeast region, Sudbury 22 was confirmed this morning 150m east of Spider Lake and 2km west of Washagami Lake. The fire, which is currently 0.8 hectare, is being held at this time.
