Kevyn Brassard is a new overage goalie for the Sudbury Wolves.

The Sudbury Wolves announced the addition of overage goaltender Kevyn Brassard to their roster in advance of tonight’s road game against the Hamilton Bulldogs.

The Wolves claimed Brassard, 6’4”, 229 lbs, off inner-league waivers from the QMJHL.

“We would like to welcome Kevyn and his family to the Sudbury Wolves,” Sudbury Wolves vice-president and general manager Rob Papineau said in a media release.

“He has had a very strong first half of the season in Drummondville taking over the net when the team was dealing with an injury to one of their goalies. He is a big goalie that plays a calm, steady and competitive game. He has been very stable for his team this year.”

Brassard joins the Wolves from the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL, where in 15 games he posted a 3.17 goal against average and 0.903 save percentage.

Brassard is expected to join the Wolves tonight on the road as they head to Hamilton to face the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m., after which they will close out the weekend with a Sunday afternoon game in Mississauga at 2 p.m.

People can also watch the games on OHL Live at watch.chl.ca/.

The Wolves will return to action at home on Jan. 11 when they host the North Bay Battalion at 7:05 p.m. This game is sponsored by Bruce Power. For more on the Wolves, visit sudburywolves.com.
