Just 54 seconds into the second period, Luca Marrelli received a cross ice pass from teammate Colby Barlow and scored his 19th goal of the season, giving Oshawa a strong 3-0 lead.
Just over five minutes into the middle frame, the Sudbury Wolves finally get on the board when Rowan Henderson tipped a Nick DeAngelis shot from the slot area for Henderson’s 11th goal of the season, cutting the Gens’ lead to 3-1, which is where the game stood heading into the final period of play.
With Noah Powell in the penalty box serving an Unsportsmanlike Conduct Penalty, Oshawa scored a short handed goal when Lauri Sinivuori picked up a giveaway from Ondrej Molnar for his 16th goal of the season, sealing a 4-1 win for the Oshawa Generals over the Sudbury Wolves.
