If you're planning on shopping at Walmart's New Sudbury location, make sure you have a loonie.
The store now requires you to deposit a loonie to unlock a shopping cart. When you return the cart, you get your money back.
“Walmart Canada is installing a cart deposit system at some locations to help ensure shopping carts are returned to the cart corral area,” said Anika Malik, manager of corporate affairs at Walmart Canada, in an email to NorthernLife.ca earlier this month.
