BY HEATHER CAMPBELL Lively’s Angie Nussey is coming home for the holidays with a very special gift, her new CD, Little Tragedies. Now residing in Toronto, she is holding a launch in Lively with family, friends and her home community on Dec. 22.

By nightfall Christmas Eve, retail stores and most businesses in the city will be closed tight. Not a creature will be stirring. Stores will be closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and will reopen Dec. 27.

BY LAUREL MYERS Ontario Minister of Finance Dwight Duncan was in Sudbury Tuesday to meet with community stakeholders and representatives for the 2008 pre-budget consultations.

The Sudbury & District Health Unit is reporting the first two confirmed cases of influenza A infection in the Greater Sudbury area, said a news release. Influenza, or the flu, is a highly contagious, acute, viral disease of the respiratory tract.
