QMJHL Roundup: Komarov's OT winner lifts Remparts past Phoenix 5-4

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Vsevolod Komarov scored the game-winning goal with 17 seconds left in overtime to power the Québec Remparts past the Sherbrooke Phoenix 5-4 on Thursday.

Pier-Olivier Roy, Jérémy Langlois, Théo Rochette and Nathan Gaucher also scored for Québec (38-6-1-2), which sits atop the Eastern Conference. William Rousseau made 29 saves.

Cole Huckins, Milo Roelens, Jakub Brabenec and Jacob Melanson replied for Western Conference-leading Sherbrooke (31-12-3-2). Olivier Adam stopped 37-of-42 shots.

The Remparts saw an early 3-0 lead turn into a 4-3 deficit at 11:20 of the third period. However, Roy scored the game-tying marker with 41 seconds left in regulation.

CHARLOTTETOWN — Michael Horth scored the shootout winner, along with one in regulation and the Charlottetown Islanders defeated the Halifax Mooseheads 5-4.

BAIE-COMEAU, QUE. — Maxim Massé led the Chicoutimi Saguenéens with two goals en route to a 5-2 win over the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.

Zachary Gravel, Thomas Desruisseaux and Alexis Morin provided the rest of the offence for Chicoutimi (25-22-2). Philippe Cloutier made 24 saves.

Charles-Antoine Dumont and Charles-Antoine Lavallée replied for Baie-Comeau (19-26-3-1). Olivier Ciarlo stopped 22-of-26 shots.

ROUYN-NORANDA, QUE. — Louis-Philippe Fontaine and Benjamin Brunelle both had a goal and an assist as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies came back to top the Saint John Sea Dogs 4-2

Tristan Allard and Leighton Carruthers added the others for Rouyn-Noranda (27-15-3-3), which scored three unanswered in the second period to take over the game.

Pavel Simek and Cole Burbidge scored for Saint John (17-28-1-1).
