Saskatchewan Roughriders sign veteran Canadian receiver Harty to extension

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Canadian receiver Jake Harty to a contract extension Thursday.

The six-foot-two, 210-pound Harty appeared n Saskatchewan's 14 regular-season and two playoff games last year, registering a team-high 10 special-teams tackles.

Harty, 31, of Calgary, first signed with Saskatchewan in 2018.

Prior to that, he spent three seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks, registering 36 catches for 307 yards and a TD as well as 12 special-teams tackles in 34 regular-season games.

He helped Ottawa win a Grey Cup title in 2016.
