ALLARD,Denise Patricia PhD - We are sad to inform you that Denise passed away at Stonehaven Manor in Ottawa, on September 17, 2010 at the age of 64. The daughter of the late Alphonse and Rachel Allard and sister of Claudette Allard (Sudbury). Denise leaves behind her beloved daughter, Dr. Sara-Marie Régimbal, son-in-law Chad and two grandsons, William and Evan (Kanata). She was a Professor of Exercise Physiology at the University of Ottawa for many years after completing her studies at the University of Illinois. She enjoyed devoting much of her time to community organizations such as the Council on Aging (English & French) and l""ACFO to name only a few. She will be missed. Friends are invited to the St. Laurent Chapel of HULSE, PLAYFAIR & McGARRY, 1200 Ogilvie Road, (at Aviation Parkway), Ottawa, Tuesday, September 21 fro 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Sébastien Roman Catholic Church, 1000 Frances Street, Ottawa, Wednesday, September 22nd, at 11 a.m. Donations to The Royal Ottawa Foundation would be appreciated.
