ANDREWS, Irene Evelyn - In loving memory of Irene Evelyn Andrews (nee Lewis), 97 years, who passed away Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009 at the Extendicare-Falconbridge Sudbury. Irene was born in Temiscaming and married Elton Owen Andrews in Sudbury. Irene was an avid fisher person, a skilled knitter, crocheter and sewer, and a wonderful cook who was the happiest preparing and hosting family dinners. She had a wonderful smile which she generously shared with others. Irene was devoted to her loving family. Beloved wife of Elton Owen Andrews, predeceased 1992. Loving mother of William Ernest Lachance (wife Joyce), Valerie Stiles, Gilbert Lachance (wife Shirley) both predeceased, Lionel Lachance (wife Myrna), Joan Moffat (husband Allan). Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Dear daughter of William and Annie (McBride) Lewis predeceased. Dear sister of Daniel predeceased by Orilia, Lloyd, David, Wally, Claude, Lillian, Sam and Jim. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Saturday, September 26th, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation with interment in the Civic Cemetery.
