ANDREWS, Ledia

In Loving Memory of Ledia Ada (Zardo) Andrews who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North, Sunday, July 25th, 2021, at the age of 88 years. Daughter of Giovanni and Ermenegilda Zardo, Ledia was born in Copper Cliff on October 5th, 1932, sister of Iris (Bernie, both predeceased), Irde (Rudy, both predeceased), Frank (predeceased), Andy (Judith, predeceased) and Virg. She was raised in the Porcupine Camp in the Dome Extension, attending the Dome School and South Porcupine High School.  Ledia obtained her credentials to be a teacher at the North Bay Normal School and subsequently found employment at the Levack Public School.  In Levack she met the local dentist, Dr. Ron Andrews.  They were married on August 20th, 1955, in South Porcupine and then settled in Levack where they were blessed with eight children: Mary Catherine (Mario Policicchio), Austin (Lynne Belanger), Ron (Loretta Ronchin), Joan (Darrell Beers), Kim (Jon Barrett), Nancy, Lynn (predeceased) and Jim (Sherri Lynn Zangari).  Amazing grandmother of Michael (Paige), Andrew (Stephanie), Katie, Mattie (Anne), Carly (Ryan), Lorron, Ronnie, Elizabeth, Robyn, Jon, Jim, Andy, Jill, Brett, Kyle, Tiana, and Justin.  Great grandmother of Isabella, Julie and Luke. Ledia enjoyed spending time at her camp on Otter Lake with her family. Burial Mass at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Followed by interment in the
Maplecrest Cemetery, Onaping Falls. Donations to the charity of your choice. Due to COVID-19 directives, a maximum of 50 people will be allowed in the church. Face masks are mandatory. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
