It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eileen Armstrong (nee Doran), who passed away July 30, 2020 at HSN.  Left to mourn is her beloved husband Alfred who she married in 1957.  Loving mother of Roger Cloutier (Carole), Robert (Jamie), Patricia (Robert) Racette, Elizabeth (Stephen) Green, Colleen (Guy) Lagace, Erin (Paul) Lafantaisie, Keith (Suzanne), Glenda (Kevin) Marcoux& Brian (Laurie).  Treasured grandmother to Robert, Michelle, Stephen, Brittney, Krista, Andrea, Andrew, Rebecca, Tyler, Dan, Paul, Kaitlin, Jesse, Seanna, James, Kyra, Cody, Ashley & Ryleigh.  Great grandmother to Julien, Madilynn, Kohl (predeceased 2016) Khloe, Audrey, Adrien, Emmy, Annabelle, Zachary & Landon.Sister of Eamon (Isabel) Doran, Peter (Judy) MacDonald and Kathleen (Dan) Proulx (predeceased).  She is sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Eileen was born December 19, 1935 in Belfast, County Antrim, Northern Ireland to the late Albert& Bridgid (McAlister) Doran.  She immigrated to Canada in 1946 where she completed her schooling and started working at the Sudbury General Hospital until starting her family. She had a beautiful voice and showcased it in various ways, whether it be singing with the choir at the Church of the Epiphany, or with the Bel Canto Choir.  She also enjoyed singing for the Irish Heritage Club where they always requested her to sing O Danny Boy. Her family kept her busy throughout the years and when time permitted she enjoyed reading a good book, knitting or watching old movies.

Mom, we love you and will miss you every day.  Forever in our hearts.  Rest in peace. 

A Memorial Service will be held in the Church of the Epiphany at a later date. Cremation with entombment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Church of the Epiphany or The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, Sudbury.
