In loving memory of Connie (Consuelo) Badgerow (née Leyson) who passed away peacefully at the Lakeridge Health – Oshawa Hospital on Friday, January 22nd, 2021, at the age of 86 years. Daughter of the late Perfecto and of the late Felisa (née Parilla) Leyson. Predeceased by her husband Robert ‘‘Bob’’ Badgerow in November 2017. Beloved mother of Andrew Mendoza (Carmen) of Brampton, Robbie Badgerow (Colleen) of Garson, Joanne Badgerow (partner Nick Ayotte) of Val Caron, Jackie Edison (Charles) of Oshawa, and Mark Badgerow (Marie) of Red Deer, AB. Predeceased by her son Benji in September 1995. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Danny, Arlene (Paul), Jason (Nicole), Kaila (Mike), Kathy (Nolan), Jessee, Joshua, Ella, Damian, Kyanna, Hayden, and by her great-grandchildren Nixon and Scarlett. Dear sister of Nanie Walgamot (late Forest) of Arizona, Ruth Torlao (Frank) of Willowdale, Phebe Langot (Charles) of Houston, Texas, and Joseph Leyson of the Philippines. Predeceased by her siblings Celio, Elisabeth, Rachel, Daniel, and Marina. Connie loved shopping, eating, and going to church. She will be missed by her friends at the Bowmanville Seventh-day Adventist Church. In her younger days, she was active with the horses at the riding stable. Connie loved to sing with people and enjoyed playing her piano. Mom was also a wonderful cook, especially her famous fried-chicken wrap. A strong and feisty person, her love and warmth were felt by all. She will be missed for her stylish ways and easy going laugh. Due to the pandemic, a private family visitation and funeral will be held at the Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, 17 Rutland Street, Warren, ON. Burial to follow at the Warren Protestant Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
