In loving memory of Rena (Dolly) Baggio (nee Vecchies). It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, who passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Tuesday, October 13th, 2020 at Creek Way Village Long-Term Care Home in Burlington, Ontario.
Beloved wife of Gino Baggio predeceased and devoted mother of Shirley Lupien (husband Henry), Norman Baggio (wife Irene), and Sandra Osborne (husband Paul). Cherished grandmother of Ryan Lupien, Shelley (Baggio) Liscio (husband Chris), David Baggio (wife Stephanie), Heather Osborne (partner Ryan Dymond), and Derek Osborne. Loving great-grandmother of Andrew, Liliana, Adrienne, Dylan, and Nova Rena. Dear daughter of John and Alexandrina (Tiboni) Vecchies predeceased. Dear sister of Rita Marcon, Edna Hopkins, William Vecchies, Stanley Vecchies (wife Joan) all predeceased, and Anita Fabbro (husband Vittorio). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Dolly was born in Thunder Bay and grew up in Sudbury. She loved spending time with her family at the cottage on Trout Lake and winters in Florida. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
The family would like to thank all of the caring and dedicated staff at Creek Way Village for the amazing care Dolly received there.
Funeral service will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, on Saturday, October 31st, 2020 at 10:30am. (Friends may gather after 9:15am Saturday). Interment in the family plot at the Civic Memorial Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 Pandemic directives, 50 people or fewer are permitted in the visitation room, and 80 or fewer in the chapel. Face masks are mandatory.
