Becker, Kenneth

BECKER, Kenneth John - Passed away at the Toronto General Hospital, June 26th 2009 at the age of 57. Ken was blessed with receiving the Gift of Life and fought the bravest battle, but in the end was able to give the Gift of Life to those chosen. Ken was the perfect husband and best friend to wife Susan. Loved by step-sons Ron (Amanda), and Aaron (Lynn). Proud father to Adam (Shawna) and Jessica (Bill). Will be greatly missed by grandchildren Aiden, Anderson, Madalynn, and Morgan. Loving son of Eleanor Becker and brother to Nancy Steward of Hanover. Ken graduated from Lakehead University with his Bachelor of Science in Forestry, and went on to become a greatly sought after Director of Human Resources for companies across Canada. He was well known for his spontaneous decision making, intelligence and unbiased treatment to all. Ken was well respected by his co-workers and anyone who knew him well. Ken lived passionately in all endeavors. Always wondering what was over the next hill, he was forever planning his next trip. He loved to watch his beloved “Red Wings“ and read his many treasured books. Ken was fortunate to have the best friends in the world, and cherished the time spent with them. A memorial service in Ken's honor will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Brant Township, on July 11, 2009 at 11:00 am, and at St. George's Anglican Church in Espanola on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 11:00 am. By family request, donations can be made to the Trillium Gift of Life Network, or to the Toronto General Hospital Multi Organ Transplant Program at the University Health Network.
