BOIVIN, Roy - Roy died peacefully after a lengthy illness at Sudbury Regional Hospital. Loving husband to Shelvie (nee Marcoux) and devoted father to Brenda (Randy), Danny, Rob (Michelle). Loving father-in-law to Sylvia Germain. Very special “Poppa“ to Chris, Curtis, Candace (predeceased), Ashley, Valérie and Antoni. Roy was predeceased by his parents William and Laura Boivin, brothers Lester, Raymond, Stanley, Bill, Lloyd and sisters Lucille, Edna and Alice. Roy is survived by his brother Leo and sisters Rosemae, Jeannine, Marie and Laura. Roy will be sadly missed by his brothers and sister-in- laws and fondly remembered as Uncle and Mon""onc"" Roy by many nieces and nephews many thanks to the respiratory unit staff at the Sudbury Regional Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford, Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 2-5 and 7-8:30 p.m. A prayer service will follow at 8:30 p.m in the funeral home parlour.
