Survived by his sister Anna (Vincenzo) and sister-in-law Jacqueline. Remembered by many friends, nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy, the United States and Australia. Vladimiro was born and raised in Carpineto Romano, Italy. He proudly served with the Carabinieri during World War II and years following.  For his devotion and duty to the Carabinieri he was awarded the Medal of Merit.  In 1950, Vladimiro left Italy to come to Canada, without knowing the language, settled in Sudbury with hopes of a fresh start for his family.  He was hired on at INCO that same year where he worked until his retirement in 1982.  As an avid gardener he loved tending his garden for hours on end.  During the fall he enjoyed hunting, making wine and cured meats which always packed his wine cellar.  He was a great storyteller who always had a story to share about his life growing up in Italy, struggles during the war and his time spent with friends and family. The family would like to thank the staff and health care workers of the 5th floor at Extendicare York for their kindness, care, and devotion.
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.  “Il nostro amore resta sempre con te”.
At the request of the family there will be no funeral or visitation.  In Vladimiro’s memory, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
