It is with sadness that we announce the death of Al Carlson, 75 years on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Al fully enjoyed life and was involved in the sporting community with the Nooners Hockey club as well as coaching minor hockey and baseball. His greatest accomplishment, as he would say, was having 2 boys.  Coming ever so close to realizing his dream of playing in the NHL, Al's Montreal Canadians camp was cut short due to injury.  Always living young, he played many sports along side his boys, he was a snowmachine and car fanatic. Al is predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Josephine Carlson, brothers Bill and Jack and sister Jeannette. He is survived by his son's James (Patricia) and Shawn (Danielle), their mother Pauline and his grandchildren Rebecca, Samantha, Aidan, and Ava. Al also leaves behind his sisters and brothers Margaret Paquette, Francoise (Edmondo) Gutierraz, Eldon (Erica) Carlson, Clayton Carlson, and his best friend Gordon Milne. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Sudbury Minor Hockey Association and Sudbury Minor Baseball Association. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at the Trevi Tavern on Lasalle Blvd on Friday, November 3rd, 2023 from 4pm until 8pm. Arrangements have been entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd. Online condolences can be posted at www.RangerSudbury.com.
