Is it with broken hearts, that the family regrets to announce the peaceful passing of Wilfrid Carrière at the age of 84.
Born in Hanmer to the late François Carrière and the late Germaine Carrière (née Lacoste). Loving husband of Georgette Carrière (née Lalonde) (predeceased). Loving companion of Françoise Marcotte. Beloved father of Suzanne Proulx (Denni) from Coniston, Gisèle Rainville (Michel) of Warren and Lucille Carrière (predeceased). Stepfather to Anne Treling, Nancy Côté-Servant (Frank) and Bobby Marcotte (Karen). Wilfrid will be remembered by his grand children Éric (Katie-Lyne), Dennis, Crystal, Chantal, Julie (Thomas) and Lisa.
He will also be remembered by his great grand-children Jasmine, Dominic, Aiden, Curtis & William, and his step grand children Josée (Nathaniel), Lise (Mathieu), André (predeceased), Kara (Skylor), Christopher (Tuesday), Paige (Nick) and his step great grand children Jean-Jacques, Geo, Mykaela, Eli, Ellie, and Mason. Beloved brother of late Lionel Carrière (late Jeannine), late Liliane Raymond, Noëlla Bertrand (late Fred), Aurel Carrière, Laurette Remillard (late Clément), Bertha Pilon (Yoland), Maurice Carrière (late Linda), Rita Prud’homme (Aurel), Lorraine McCormick (Gus Bonaldo), late Dorice Carrière (late Fleurette), and Laurent Carrière (Suzanne).
He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Wilfrid was self employed as a lumberjack and was always there when you needed a hand. He enjoyed the outdoors especially when it came to hunting and fishing! He loved being surrounded by his children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren as well as all his stepchildren, step-grand children, and step great grandchildren. In keeping with Wilfrid`s wishes, a mass will be celebrated on Friday June 24th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St-Mark Parish in Markstay. Burial will then follow at the St-Mark Cemetery.
