It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Gwendolyn Margaret Carol Cascanette (Hooge), on Thursday, January 21st, 2021. Born October 21st, 1948 in Theodore, Saskatchewan. Dear wife of 51 years to Bernie. Devoted mother to Brent (Luvy), Aaron (Crystal), Darryl (Julia), and Braeden. Loving sister to Marilyn (Bob) both predeceased, Valarie predeceased (Ron), Gary (Pat), and Cindy (Dan). She will be missed by all her nieces and nephews. She loved her granddaughters beyond belief: Lindsey, Ella, Taryn, and Jessica. She will be missed by everyone that touched her heart, and she had a heart of gold. Lovingly remembered by Liam, Abby, and Isaiah. Being from Saskatchewan, Gwen loved the prairies. She enjoyed gardening, and spent many happy days on Manitoulin Island. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
At this time, there will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation. A memorial serviced will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Lively, at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
