It is with the heaviest hearts that the family announces the passing of their beautiful daughter Britney at the young age of 28 years. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends.

Dear daughter of Robert and Linda Lamarche (née Mainville). Cherished sister of Samantha (Zacharie) and aunt to Luca Fechner. Loving partner of Anthony Zanetti. Granddaughter of Rollande Mainville (Clement predeceased) and Alexandrine Lamarche (Russell predeceased). She will be sadly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, so many friends and by her loving cat Mokai.

Britney had a long battle with cancer and fought hard through her journey right until the end. Her spirit, strength, courage and humour inspired us all as she never gave up hope and never complained. She fought it with all that she had and was never afraid to face the many obstacles she came across. Even though Britney lived a short life, it was a beautiful one with lots of travelling, experiences and memories made with family and friends from all over the world. At the young age of 28, she had visited 27 countries. Britney spent 10 months in Denmark as an exchange student through the Rotary Club of Sudbury (International). She made so many connections with friends and host families that she has always cherished.

Britney obtained a Masters in Applied Sciences in Mechanical Engineering/Biomechanics in 2020 from Laurentian University.

Her last employers were Northeast Cancer Centre where she was a registration-admitting clerk.

She also worked at I Regained as a Mechanical Engineering Research and Development Lead.

Some of Britney’s hobbies included mushroom foraging, puzzles, going to camp with family and friends and playing volleyball.

We would like to thank Dr Pitre, the whole team at the Cancer Centre, the Palliative Care Unit team & Bayshore for all of Britney’s care.

Thanks to her loving partner Anthony who has always been there for her, for her loving friends Kayla and Melissa and her sister Samantha who also were all there until the end.

Britney sure made an impression on so many people and will never be forgotten.

Please join us in Celebrating Britney’s Life at Club 50 in Chelmsford on Sunday Oct 27th, 2024 from 12pm- 3pm.

Donations by cheque or online to the Northeast Cancer Centre or to Health Sciences North Foundation Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
