(1948- 2022) With heavy hearts, the family announces her peaceful passing with her children by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer on Monday, May 9th 2022, at the age of 74 years. Daughter of the late George and the late Flavie (née Desgroseilliers) Léonard. Loving wife of the late Pierre (Pete) Charlebois. Dear mother of Denis (Joyce) of Garson, Gilles, (Renee) of North Bay, and Lynn (Dan) of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Joël (Lindsay Owen) and Brielle Charlebois, Jacob Charlebois (Jaydee Ramos), Danika Parry, Avery Charlebois and great-granddaughter Everleigh Charlebois, Zoé Gagné (Gabriel Paquette) and Alex Gagné (Keona Rochefort). Survived by her sister Solange Charlebois (Noël), her brother Jean-Guy Léonard (Denise), sister-in-laws Terry Clendenning (Don) and Colette Labelle (Gaëtan- predeceased) and her brother-in-law Noël Charlebois (Solange). Predeceased by her sisters Gabrielle Beaudoin (Jean-Paul), Rachelle Primeau (Roméo), Gisèle Beckett (Fred), Lise and one brother Arsène (Hélène Bernard). Predeceased by her mother-in-law Rose (née Desormeaux) and her father-in-law Albert Charlebois, her sisters-in-law Pauline Lalonde (Larry), Cécile Beaudry (Dan) and Hélène Lebeau (Paul) and brother-in-law Marcel Charlebois (Maureen). Survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lucie enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing and spending many winters in Florida with her husband Pete. She had a wonderful sense of humour and kept us laughing until the very end. Thank you to the staff of West Nipissing hospital for all their care and support. Due to her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private family celebration will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society.
